How To Fill a Vape Tank

Filling or refilling your vape tank is a vital part of your vaping experience. If you’re a new user, this may seem daunting.

However, the reality is that filling your vape tank is a straightforward process, specifically designed to be as user-friendly and hassle-free as possible. Although there will be some variation across brands and types of tanks, the process of filling your vape tank remains broadly the same.

Our guide is intended as a general reference and will cover the two most common types of tank — the top fill vape tank and the bottom fill vape tank. Although not exhaustive, this guide will give you a good enough idea of the general process. Of course, if you have questions about a specific tank, don’t hesitate to contact us! With that being said, let’s dive into it.

Regardless of the type of filling your tank uses, there’s a common first step; you need to start by unscrewing from the rest of the vape kit. (It may be worth noting: if you’ve just bought a replacement tank by itself, you can obviously ignore this step!)

How to Fill a Top Fill Vape Tank

Step 1.

Unscrew the airflow base, located at the bottom of the tank, and gently pull the vape coil out from the tank.

Step 2.

Drip a few drops of e liquid onto your vape coil. Gently dousing the coil helps extend the coil’s lifespan. Then, re-insert the coil back into the tank.

Step 3.

Unscrew the top connector from the tank, and you should be able to see an access hole for dripping e liquid into.

Feed e liquid into the tank until it reaches the marker point for indicating a full tank. (During this stage, be careful not to spill any liquid into the tank’s centre tube, as this is the airway for vapour.)

Step 4.

Once the tank has been filled, screw the top connector back on, reinsert the coil, and screw the bottom connector back on.

Step 5.

Wait for 2-3 minutes, to allow the coil to become saturated with e liquid. After that, your tank is ready for use.

How to Fill a Bottom Fill Vape Tank

Step 1.

Unscrew the bottom connector from your tank, and remove the vape coil by gently pulling it out.

Step 2.

Drip a few drops of e liquid onto the coil. Gently dousing the coil in e liquid helps extend its lifespan. Then, re-insert the coil back into the tank.

Step 3.

Unscrew the metal bottom connector to gain access to the tank chamber.

Place the tip of your e liquid bottle inside the chamber, and drip out e liquid until it reaches the marker indicating a full tank.

(Take care not to spill any liquid into the centre tube of the tank, as this is the airway for inhaling vapour.)

Step 4.

Reassemble the tank, screwing all connectors back into place tightly.

Step 5.

Leave the coil to saturate for a few minutes. After that, your tank is ready for use.
