Nitecore Ci4 Charging Safety
The Ci4 includes several automatic protection systems designed to help manage rechargeable batteries safely. Reverse polarity and short-circuit protection detect incorrect installation or electrical faults, while individual slot monitoring allows the charger to stop charging a problematic battery without affecting the other active slots.
The charger also has overtime charging protection. According to Nitecore, each slot is timed independently and charging is automatically stopped if uninterrupted charging exceeds 10 hours.
Always inspect vape batteries before placing them in the charger. Do not charge cells with damaged wraps, dents, swelling, leakage or other visible damage. Nitecore also advises that batteries should not be left unattended while connected to a power source.
