Vuse has solidified its place as one of the UK's most trusted and beloved vape brands since its inception in 2013. Renowned for their innovative vape kits and a wide range of Vuse pod refills. Vuse has captivated the market for over a decade, and their latest device— the Vuse Pro— promises to do the same.

The brand has recently begun phasing out their popular Vuse ePod device by transitioning to the new Vuse Pro— but does it really have what it takes to live up to the same quality and success as its predecessor? Well, that’s what I’m here to find out.

I’ve finally got my hands on the Vuse Pro, and I’m ready to share my findings. In this review, I’ll take you on a journey through the features, performance, and overall experience of this Vuse vape kit. From its sleek design to its advanced technology, I hope this in-depth review will help you decide if this device is the right fit for your vaping needs. Now, let’s begin!

Vuse Pro Key Features

As the Vuse Pro is a prefilled pod kit, all I had to do was get my hands on some pods to get started. This device is compatible with Vuse Pro pods, but can also be used in tandem with Vuse ePod pods, ensuring a seamless transition for those who are already accustomed to the older Vuse pod kit.

When using the Vuse Pro, it was easy to tell from the very first puff that this device is designed specifically for ex-smokers wanting a cigarette-like experience. Unlike many other prefilled pods which aim to provide the smoothest experience possible, the Vuse provides a far punchier throat hit, much like smoking a real cigarette. While I personally found this throat hit a lot harsher than I was first expecting, I think many ex-smokers and those trying to quit will find it more satisfying than other brands.

Another point worth noting is the cut-off feature. I was surprised to learn that after 5 seconds of continually inhaling, the device will pause mid-inhale. While this was frustrating at first as I tend to draw large puffs when vaping, I quickly became accustomed to it and liked how it prevented any mishaps or misfiring when not in use.

Each Vuse pod arrives pre-filled with 1.9ml of Vuse e-liquid, which is slightly less than the average 2ml you’d find in other prefilled pods. But despite this smaller capacity, I seemed to be able to enjoy a larger puff count, with each pod lasting me over 2 days of use. While this may sound implausible, I think the answer lies in the 5-second cut-off feature, as I was unable to take longer drags which helped to preserve the e-liquid inside the pod.

Vuse Pro Ergonomics & Design

When I first laid eyes on the new Vuse Pro, I was surprised by just how similar it looked to the Vuse ePod 2. In fact, the device itself is almost identical.

The Vuse Pro boasts a contemporary design and sleek pen-style shape akin to the ePod 2, ensuring fans of the original feel right at home. However, alongside preserving many beloved features of the ePod 2, the Vuse Pro introduces several enhancements.

One of my favourite changes is the faster charging capabilities, as I was able to recharge my Vuse Pro in as little as just 35 minutes to keep downtime to a minimum. But I must admit, I’m not a huge fan of the charger itself.

Vuse have opted for a unique 3-pin magnetic charging cable which looks and feels great, but is specifically designed for the Vuse device. So, I won’t be able to use the cable for any other vape devices and if it ever needs replacing, I’ll have to purchase a new cable directly from Vuse.

However, I do like that they’ve incorporated passthrough technology which allows me vape while the device is charging, as many brands often overlook this important feature.

Now that we’ve covered its design, let’s explore the different flavours available.

Vuse Pro Pod Flavours

Even when it comes to their flavours, it’s clear to see that Vuse’s target audience is ex-smokers. Most of their flavours revolve heavily around classic and traditional blends, so naturally, there are plenty of Tobacco and Mint profiles to choose from.

I tried out their Golden Tobacco pods for myself and was taken aback by just how realistic they tasted! I’ve tested out dozens of Tobacco-flavoured products over the years, but none as authentic as Vuse Golden Tobacco.

Here’s a quick peek at the different types of Vuse flavours available:

But even if you aren’t particularly interested in traditional blends, Vuse has released a few fruity flavours for their Vuse Pro range, with a handful of exciting berry, tropical and even cucumber options. I decided to give their Berry Watermelon flavour a whirl, and I wasn’t disappointed.

I’ve tried out Vuse Fruit flavours in the past and always found them a little too subtle for my liking, but it seems like they’ve made an effort to increase the potency as this blend in particular was incredibly tasty.

Vuse Ranges

Now, let's take a step back and delve into the expansive world of Vuse products, as the Vuse Pro is merely scratching the surface of what they have to offer.

Before the Vuse Pro came the Vuse ePen and Vuse ePod, both proving to be extremely successful devices and helping countless people achieve their quit smoking goals. However, with the recent release of the Vuse Pro, both of these devices have been discontinued. But worry not! As I mentioned earlier, the ePod 2 has become the Vuse Pro, so the Vuse Pro is essentially a new and improved version of the Vuse ePod 2. This means that fans of this earlier device can still enjoy the same great quality and can even stick to using Vuse ePods if they wish!

Besides the extensive range of prefilled pod kits they’ve released over the years, Vuse also have plenty of experience in the disposable vape scene. The Vuse GO 700 disposable vapewas an instant hit among fans of the brand, adopting the same great Vuse flavours in a portable and disposable format. Following the success of the Vuse GO 700, Vuse released the Vuse GO Max ; a nicotine-free alternative that boasts a whopping lifespan of up to 1500 puffs!

Vuse Pro Pod Kit Comparison

Navigating the vibrant landscape of prefilled pod kits requires a keen understanding of how the Vuse Pro compares to its rivals, so it can be helpful to zoom out and see where it stands in the wider industry as a whole.

When trying out the Vuse Pro, I couldn’t help but draw similarities to the Juul2 device. Much like the Vuse Pro, right from the get-go, the Juul2 gives the impression that it’s designed for more mature users trying to quit smoking. The sleek, slimline yet simplistic exterior paired with classic flavour profiles gives it a more sophisticated feel. Although, it’s worth noting that the Vuse Pro offers far more flavour variety than the Juul2.

When comparing the Vuse Pro to other popular prefilled pod kits such as the new Elfa PRO, Lost Mary Tappo and FUYL pod kit, it’s clear to see that they’re designed for completely different types of users. While the Vuse Pro exudes a sleek and mature feel, these other pod kits ooze a more exciting and playful vibe, much like that of disposable vapes.

Vuse Pro Verdict

After getting up close and personal with the Vuse Pro over the past few weeks, it’s clear that Vuse is continuing to uphold its reputation as a leading vape brand. The transition from the Vuse ePod to the Vuse Pro signifies a big change, but a step forward in innovation and user experience.

The Vuse Pro's sleek and familiar design, reminiscent of the beloved ePod, is a welcome sight for long-time users. It's clear that Vuse has made efforts to retain what users love about the ePod while introducing some notable improvements, such as faster charging and weatherproof protection. However, I found the proprietary magnetic charging cable somewhat limiting, which could be a drawback for some users.

In terms of performance, the Vuse Pro aims to provide a robust throat hit similar to that of traditional cigarettes, which is great for ex-smokers seeking familiarity. But be warned, this intensity might catch some users off guard, especially those accustomed to smoother draws. That being said, the 5-second cut-off feature is a nice touch, preventing any potential mishaps and helping conserve e-liquid.

When it comes to flavour options, Vuse primarily focuses on classic tobacco and mint profiles, catering to the preferences of ex-smokers. I particularly enjoyed the Golden Tobacco pods for their authentic taste. It's worth noting, though, that the flavour range is designed to appeal to a more mature fanbase, so don’t expect to find any candy-sweet blends here!

To sum up, the Vuse Pro delivers a familiar yet refined vaping experience, making it one of the best options out there for ex-smokers and those looking for a more traditional device that still reaps all the benefits of modern technological advancements.
