Although OXVA is rapidly becoming one of the most recognised vape brands across the country, I have yet to try their products out for myself— that is, until now. I’ve finally got my hands on the device everyone’s talking about— the OXVA Xlim Pro— and I can’t wait to share my experience with you.

The Xlim Pro first hit the shelves back in 2023 and has continued to satisfy vape fans everywhere ever since. This refillable pod kit promises to deliver a powerful and potent vaping experience complete with a sleek and portable design that’s packed with a whole host of advanced features.

It’s been a while since I’ve tested out a new pod kit, so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the new OXVA and share my first-ever experience with this best-selling brand. I sampled this kit with a few different nic salts from both Cigara Salt Bar and Bar Series and the result was phenomenal. Each inhale was silky smooth and the flavour experience was far more potent than I was expecting.

The inclusion of an airflow control slider was a huge plus for me, as it gave me ultimate control over my vape. After playing around with it, I settled on keeping the slider partially closed, which provided a loose and airy sensation that still served up a somewhat restricted feel. For those wanting more clouds, I recommend keeping the airflow slider wide open.

This OXVA Xlim comes with two 2ml OXVA pods; one with a 0.6Ω resistance and another with a 0.8Ω resistance. I tried out both OXVA Xlim pods and they both performed brilliantly with 50PG/50VG nic salts, but I personally prefer the throat hit and pronounced flavour that comes along with the 0.8Ω option. But if you want a slightly more intense vapour experience and prefer vaping at higher wattages, the 0.6Ω pod provides a great experience with plenty of vapour production.

I also didn’t need to worry about this OXVA vape running low while out and about, as a full charge would last me almost 2 days! Despite its powerful output, the 1000mAh battery made taking my OXVA with me on the go a total breeze, so it would be perfect for those looking for a low-maintenance device.

Immediately after removing this OXVA vape from the box, I knew I was in for a treat. The build quality feels exceptional while still retaining a compact pen-style frame that’s easy to carry around on the go. The textured surface adds a sleek and sophisticated edge while also allowing for a comfortable grip.

My favourite aspect of this pod kit’s design has to be the screen. The central screen displays a whole host of vaping data and tells me everything I need to know including the wattage, battery life, coil resistance and puff count. I’m a sucker for the colourful RGB light strip they’ve included beneath the screen that illuminates upon inhale, but this can also be turned off and adjusted by pushing the fire button a couple of times in quick succession.

The side-fill OXVA pods are incredibly well made and are easy to refill eliquids thanks to the slide-out silicone stopper. Each OXVA vape pod features a magnetic connection to attach seamlessly to the body of the device. As a result, I’ve experienced no leaking thus far, which is a huge relief as many refillable pod kits suffer from leak issues.

The Xlim Pro also comes with a branded lanyard that can be useful for taking your device on the go without losing track of it. While I appreciate this added touch, I found the device to be too weighty to be functional on a lanyard and it caused some neck strain after a little while.

As OXVA’s popularity is so widespread, it should come as no surprise to learn that the Xlim Pro is far from their only pod kit. In fact, it's a new and improved version of their older device, the OXVA Xlim Pod. Although it was extremely successful upon release, it houses a slightly smaller battery than the new Xlim Pro.

OXVA also boast a whole host of other refillable pod kits in their Xlim series, including the Xlim SQ Pro and Xlim SE2. For those wanting the most compact OXVA experience possible, the Xlim SQ Pro is a great option. Its boxy matchbox shape is smaller than the Xlim Pro, making it perfect for those in need of a pocket-sized device. Plus, this OXVA vape comes packed with plenty of features including customisable colour themes and an impressive 1200mAh internal battery.

Meanwhile, the Xlim SE2 has some unique features of its own. This OXVA pod kit houses a small speaker on the body of the device which can broadcast updates on the status of the device. This is particularly useful for users with visual impairments or mobility issues who find it challenging to use a regular vape device.

OXVA Xlim Pro Market Comparison

When deciding if this OXVA vape is right for you, it’s a good idea to see how it stacks up in the wider pod kit market as a whole.

When thinking about popular refillable pod kits, one brand that comes to mind is Aspire. Their latest pod vape kit, the Aspire Gotek X, is quickly becoming a bestseller despite its recent release. Much like the Xlim Pro, the Gotek X is compatible with both MTL and RDTL vaping depending on the coil resistance you choose. But unlike the OXVA Xlim, it boasts a more square-shaped body with a semi-transparent shell. Also, the battery capacity is far smaller, coming in at 650mAh.

Another reusable pod kit worth mentioning here is the Smok Novo 4. The Novo 4 has been a huge hit since its release and happens to have a lot in common with the Xim Pro. Both devices feature a slimline, pen-style shape, and an OLED screen and can provide up to 25W of power. However, the Novo 4 features a slightly smaller 800mAh battery, so you can expect to need to recharge your device more frequently than the Xlim Pro.

After putting the OXVA Xlim Pro through its paces, I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. This refillable pod kit has exceeded my expectations in more ways than one and has quickly become a staple in my vaping arsenal.

From the moment I took my first puff, I knew I was in for a great experience. The OXVA Xlim Pro delivers a smooth and satisfying vape, and as promised, each inhale was bursting with flavour. Whether I was using Cigara Salt Bar or other nic salts, the flavour delivery was consistently impressive, providing a potent and enjoyable sensation.

The inclusion of an airflow control slider was a game-changer for me, allowing me to tailor my vaping experience to my preferences. With the ability to adjust the airflow, I could achieve the perfect balance between vapour production and flavour intensity. The OXVA Xlim Pro's battery life is another standout feature.
