As the name suggests, Cigara Original is our very own line of e-liquid. Made by expert mixologists here at myCigara, this range has been specifically crafted for beginner users to ensure an authentic experience to help them quit smoking for good. Since introducing our e-liquid range over six years ago, we’ve released over 30 unique flavour profiles and amassed a large fanbase in the process. But this got me thinking, how do our eliquids compare to some of the biggest names in the game?

Vampire Vape has been on the eliquid scene since 2012 and have been garnering international success ever since. This British brand is best known for creating some of the world’s most popular flavour profiles, such as the award-winning Heisenberg blend, establishing themselves amongst other vape industry giants.

Features Comparison

As both products are classed as starter liquids, they share many of the same intrinsic properties that make them ideal for beginner users. However, they do feature a slightly different composition. Cigara Originals are crafted to a 30/70 VG:PG ratio which helps to provide an intense throat hit upon inhale, much like a real cigarette. Meanwhile,the 40/60 VG:PG ratio found in Vampire Vape eliquid delivers a slightly smoother throat hit and more potent flavour. I found that both juices provided a fairly similar vaping experience with minimal vapour production, making them ideal for those who have recently quit smoking.

Nicotine strength is one of the most crucial factors to consider when choosing an e-liquid, so I was pleased to find out that both brands offer a great variety of strengths. Cigara Originals are available in 0mg, 6mg, 12mg, and 18mg concentrations where as Vampire Vape eliquids can be found in 6mg, 12mg and 18mg strengths.

While both brands have done a great job at covering plenty of ground here by catering to both high and low nicotine users, I’m particularly impressed by Cigara’s inclusion of a 0mg option. Nicotine-free eliquid is great for helping users slowly wean themselves off nicotine completely, and Cigara Originals allow you to do this without needing to switch brands.

Flavours Comparison

Vampire Vape are probably best known for their unique flavour blends, picking up multiple awards over the years for fan-favourites such as Heisenberg and Pinkman. Their 40/60 VG:PG eliquids are available in 14 different flavour profiles, with a great mix of both fruit and sweet blends. Many Vampire Vape juices are unique to the brand and can’t be found anywhere else, like their Blood Sukka and Bat Juice blends. However, I did notice that most Vampire Vape liquid has an aniseed undertone. While this is perfect for fans of liquorice, it wasn’t to my personal taste, so I would have liked to see some more profiles without the touch of aniseed.

When it comes to the Cigara Originals, I was blown away by the sheer number of flavour profiles available. With over 30 unique blends to choose from, ranging from minty classics to soft drinks, I found myself spoilt for choice. I was particularly impressed by the amount of traditional Cigara flavours on offer, boasting multiple menthol and tobacco-based blends. Many brands neglect these types of profiles in favour of more exciting flavours, but as many beginner vapers crave the taste of tobacco, I think it’s a great idea to prioritise these when making starter liquids.

Vampire Vape have been major players in the vape juice scene for many years, so it’s no surprise that their 40/60 VG:PG e liquid is far from their only range. In fact, they seem to have covered all bases as their fan-favourite flavour profiles are available in many different formats including nic salts, shortfills and of course, starter liquids. Those seeking a super-smooth experience with fast-acting nicotine relief will benefit from their line of nic salts, whereas more experienced users wanting a more intense experience with larger vapour clouds should opt for their shortfill collection.

When it comes to Cigara Originals, our 70PG/30PG range is currently the only e-liquid collection we have released. Prior to launching any more ranges, we wanted to make sure that this line of vape juice was of the highest calibre and available in a wide variety of flavours. However, I’m happy to report that we have something exciting in the pipeline. To understand just how well both these brands are performing in the current eliquid market, we’ll need to take a look at how they stand up against other competitors in the industry. Besides Cigara Originals and Vampire Vape, one of the most popular eliquid brands on the scene at the moment is Dinner Lady.

Dinner Lady are taking the industry by storm with their large range of eliquids. Best known for their unique and award-winning flavour blends, it’s no surprise that this brand has quickly become one of the best-selling names around. While Dinner Lady offer a great range of flavours, they’re known for sticking to exciting sweet and soft drink blends. Without many traditional and tobacco flavours to choose from, this leaves room for competitors such as Cigara Originals to step in and fill the gap in the market.

Another honourable mention would have to be Nasty Juice. Much like Vampire Vape, this brand is best known for their unique hand-crafted flavours that can’t be found anywhere else. They also cover all bases by providing users with starter liquids, nic salts and shortfills. However, Vampire Vape and Cigara Originals have far more flavour profiles up for grabs, giving them a slight edge over Nasty Juice.

On the whole, after trying out Cigara Originals and Vampire Vape juice for myself over the past few weeks, it’s safe to say that both brands offer a great experience for beginner vapers. I paired these liquids with the popular Innokin Endura T18 vape pen for the best possible experience, but they’re compatible with just about any vape starter kit out there, including pod kits.

Of course, these eliquids do have their differences; most notably, the composition. The 30/70 VG:PG ratio found in Cigara Originals is best suited for those who have just quit smoking, as the high PG content serves up a more intense throat hit that mimics the sensation of inhaling on a real cigarette. However, if you’re seeking a slightly smoother experience, we recommend giving Vampire Vape a try. The slightly higher VG content helps to soften the throat hit on inhale for a less intense experience.

When choosing between these two brands, you’ll need to take the flavour selection into account. Finding the right flavour that suits your personal taste is key when on your quit smoking journey and will help you to succeed in the long run. Vampire Vape flavours are perfect for the adventurous flavour seeker, boasting signature blends that can’t be found anywhere else. However, if you’re looking for a large range of traditional flavour profiles and want to choose between many different tobacco-inspired blends to keep your cravings at bay, then Cigara Originals are your best bet.
