I’ve finally got my hands on the latest disposable vape from Elf Bar— the Elf Bar 600 V2— and I’m here to provide the inside scoop.

As the name suggests, the new Elf Bar V2 is an upgraded version of the brand's flagship device, the Elf Bar 600. The original Elf Bar disposable vape has taken the world by storm since its 2018 debut, finding its way into the palms of vape fans worldwide and making the brand a household name.

Much like the original, the Elf Bar 600 V2 is ready to use right out of the box with no setup needed. Arriving pre-filled and fitted with a ready-charged 360mAh battery, I was able to begin vaping right after removing the silicone airflow stopper. The slightly increased battery size paired with the standard 2ml pod capacity kept me covered for an entire day of vaping, which was pretty surprising as the original Elf Bar 600 couldn’t quite manage that.

Still, the biggest improvement by far has to be the addition of the QUAQ mesh coil. When Elf Bar first announced this “ground-breaking coil technology,” I was sceptical, to say the least. But after trying it out for myself, I was pleasantly surprised.

Not only did I manage to get a couple of hundred more puffs than I expected, but the flavour was noticeably heightened. I’m all too familiar with disposable vapes losing their flavour potency near the end of their lifespan, but this truly wasn’t an issue with the V2. Granted, the new Elf Bar V2 is pretty loud when compared with the original, but that’s to be expected with a device that serves up a less restricted draw.

When news of an upgraded Elf Bar broke, I pictured a bulky, souped-up device that looked nothing like the original. Fortunately, I couldn’t have been more wrong. When it comes to the design of the new Elf Bar, the brand has done the right thing by leaving well enough alone. Still sporting the classic pen-style cylindrical shape and compact build as the original, the Elf Bar V2 are practically identical in size.

Despite this, there are still a few tell-tale stylistic changes that make the Elf Bar 600V2 stand out. Ditching the rubberised exterior of the original, the new Elf Bar showcases a sleek metallic finish that catches the light brilliantly, serving as a modest but undeniably stylish upgrade. The enduring cylindrical design, coupled with the iconic Elf Bar duckbill mouthpiece, ensured a comfortable and familiar feel during use.

Elf Bar is well known for their flavour selection and diverse range of blends, and the V2 collection is no exception. Despite the recent launch of the V2, the brand has wasted no time in expanding its flavour repertoire, making an impressive debut with a staggering 30 different flavour profiles. Catering to quite literally every possible taste, these Elf Bar flavours don’t disappoint.

While the Elf Bar V2 collection features some familiar Elf Bar favourites such as Blueberry Sour Raspberry and Watermelon, I’m pleased to see the inclusion of a few unique blends that are exclusive to the new range. Blends such as Grape Raspberry, P&B Cloudd and Watermelon BG can only be found in the V2 collection. I did notice that this range is lacking any Tobacco flavour options, which is pretty disappointing. So, I’m hoping to see some additional blends released soon.

After trying out the new Elf Bar V2 for myself, I’m ready to share my thoughts. As I mentioned earlier, I was a huge sceptic going in. All this talk of “groundbreaking QUAQ mesh coil technology” didn’t have me convinced, but after experiencing it for myself, it’s safe to say I was served a huge slice of humble pie.

The new QUAQ coil undeniably makes a difference, and it’s far from insignificant. As someone who was never really a big fan of the restricted draw of the original Elf Bar 600, experiencing a more light and airy inhale was a welcome surprise. Even though it meant having to tolerate a slightly louder draw, I still have to admit that the feel of the V2 is a thousand times better than its predecessor. Of course, if you’re the type of vaper who prefers a tight and restricted draw, you’re probably better off sticking to the original 600.

Not only did the new coil enhance the inhale, but as promised, it also improved the taste. Nothing annoys me more than when a disposable vape decides to abandon all flavour during the last couple of hundred puffs, so the V2 remaining potent and fresh until the very end was a pleasant surprise. I also seemed to get a larger puff count out of the Elf Bar V2 when compared with the original, and that’s probably down to a combination of the QUAQ coil and slightly increased battery capacity.

To sum up, my experience using the Elf Bar 600 V2 left me thoroughly impressed. This disposable strikes a harmonious balance between preserving the brand's iconic cylindrical shape, a wise decision that maintains familiarity, while embracing modern enhancements.
