Before I begin testing, let’s first explore the device itself in more detail.
What is Instafill 3500?
As a rechargeable disposable vape, the Instafill 3500 introduces a concept that is relatively new to the vaping scene, especially in the UK market. While larger, non-compliant big puff vapes do exist, they are not legal under TPD guidelines due to their failure to adhere to regulations.
Under these guidelines, disposable vapes are required to contain a maximum e-liquid capacity of 2ml, leading to an average lifespan of around 600 puffs. However, the Instafill 3500 breaks free from this limitation by introducing a rechargeable system.
The key to the extended puff count of the Instafill 3500 disposable vape kit lies in its innovative design. Unlike conventional disposables, which are limited to a 2ml e-liquid capacity, the Instafill 3500 boasts a separate e-liquid container to extend its lifespan while remaining compliant with regulatory standards.
Equipped with a 10ml e-liquid bottle, this rechargeable vape ensures that only 2ml of e-liquid fills the pod at any moment. This innovative design not only allows for an expanded puff count but also ensures full compliance with legal regulations.
When I first received this Instafill vape, I had no idea what to expect, as I was totally unfamiliar with this brand. But right out of the gate, I was impressed by the professional and sleek packaging and branding, which set a promising tone for what lay inside.
Upon opening the box, I was met with a USB Type-C charging cable. Although the cable itself is tiny, it’s a nice touch when brands make the effort to include a compatible power cable. As expected, the device itself was sealed in a transparent plastic wallet.
Once I freed the device from all its packaging, I found a red instruction booklet that contained illustrated step-by-step instructions on how to set up and use the device. This involves unscrewing the bottle cap and reattaching it along with the battery before filling the pod with e-liquid.
First Impressions: Design
Although the device is undeniably larger than a standard disposable vape, it’s still far smaller than I expected. In my hand, it feels no bigger than an average pod kit, and its compact rectangular shape feels reassuringly sturdy without feeling too bulky.
The detailed illustrated instructions made the setup process a breeze, even though it was the first rechargeable disposable vape I’d ever tried. Although it took me a little while to figure out how to screw the container bottle in place using the cap as a sort of “screwdriver,” I really liked the design once I got the hang of it.
The device itself sports a smooth metallic exterior that’s coloured to represent the flavour inside. The mouthpiece is small and compact and reminds me of the one found on Lost Mary disposable vapes, which I’m a huge fan of. However, my favourite design aspect has to be the refill container.
The 10ml refill container is entirely transparent, and so is the chamber it slides into. This transparent design meant I could keep an eye on my e-liquid levels at all times and clearly observe how much e-liquid was moving filling into the pod as I pressed the gold refill button. I found the refill button itself very easy to use, and prefer this over the self-refilling method used in other devices such as the Elf Bar AF5000.

Performance Testing
Now that my Instafill vape is all set up and ready to go, it’s time to dive into testing its performance. Here’s a breakdown of my firsthand experience with this device:
Draw
After just my very first inhale of the Instafill 3500, I knew I was in for a treat. The sensation was very much to my taste; it was light and airy and delivered a smooth throat hit without feeling harsh. This was perfect for me as I tend to prefer looser draws over tighter ones.
The mouth-feel felt very familiar and reminded me of some of my favourite disposable vapes such as the SKE Crystal Bar. The mouth-to-lung sensation is spot on, and fans of conventional disposable vapes will find that the Instafill provides an almost identical draw.
Vapour
As the Instafill is a disposable vape, I wasn’t expecting much in terms of vapour production. However, I was met with a lot more cloud than I first anticipated.
The device produced more vapour than an average disposable vape, but nothing too obnoxious or out of the ordinary for an MTL device. While it doesn’t provide the most discreet vaping experience, it certainly doesn’t generate massive vapour clouds as you’d expect from high-powered DTL devices.
Flavour
As flavour can make or break the overall vaping experience, I was really hoping for big things from this Instafill disposable vape— and it delivered!
I tried out two different blends when writing this review; Watermelon Candy Ice and Blackcurrant Apple, and both were undeniably delicious. Both profiles were incredibly potent and bursting with sweet and juicy notes that remained tasty and pronounced right up until the very last puff.
My favourite blend was by far the Watermelon Candy Ice profile, and as a die-hard fan of all melon-themed blends, this one was among the best I’ve ever tried!
Battery Life
If there’s one aspect of the Instafill that didn’t totally blow me away, it has to be the battery life. As this device is larger than your typical disposable, I was hoping it would house a larger battery to allow for extended vaping sessions. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case.
It’s powered by a 500mAh battery, which is commonly found in most disposable vapes. This meant that I was able to get around 600 puffs out of it before it required recharging. While this was enough to last me a full day of vaping, I wish they sized up to extend the battery life. It also doesn’t include a battery life indicator feature, which meant I’d get no warning before it runs out which was pretty disappointing.

From its design alone, it’s hard to believe that Instafill is a new brand, as this product oozes the same charm and build quality as more well-known devices. I’m glad that Instafill had the foresight to make their refill container transparent for easy monitoring of e-liquid levels, as it’s definitely something that sets them apart from their competitors.
When it comes to performance, the Instafill 3500 delivers in spades. The draw is smooth and satisfying, reminiscent of some of my favourite disposable vapes. I found the flavour to be exceptional, with intense notes that remain consistent throughout, even when the device is running low.
My main gripe with this Instafill vape is its battery life. And while it’s not awful, it did leave me wanting more. With a 500mAh battery, it offers a standard vaping session before needing a recharge, but a larger battery capacity and a battery life indicator would be welcome additions to any future Instafill devices.
While there's room for improvement in the battery department, its innovative approach to big puff disposable vapes sets it apart in a crowded market. For vapers seeking a longer-lasting alternative without sacrificing convenience, the Instafill 3500 disposable vape is undoubtedly worth considering.
